Willie Andrew Teague, Jr.
1941-2016
Willie Andrew Teague Jr., age 75, passed away December 6, 2016, at the Jack Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 30, 1941, in Wollis, Oklahoma, to Willie "Bud" Andrew Teague, Sr. and Gladys (Ellis) Teague. Willie served six years in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1968.

Willie married the love of his life, Peggy (Turner) Teague, March 7, 1969. Together they celebrated over 47 years of life and were blessed with three sons. Willie was self-employed in home insulation and siding and as a truck driver for more than thirty years. He loved to hunt, fish, play music, and spend time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Hunter Layne Teague. Survivors include his wife Peggy; sons, Rob Teague and wife Kelley, Bryan Teague and wife Trina, Joey Teague and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Bailey Teague, Cadeyn Teague, Connor Teague, and Sawyer Teague, all of Checotah; siblings, Ann Vick, Jerry Don Teague, Carolyn Cannon, Bobby Teague, Ronnie Gene Teague, Donald Wayne Teague, Randy Teague; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Checotah Funeral Service, 211 W Okmulgee, Checotah, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah. Serving as pallbearers will be Dusty Duvall, Rick Cox, Brian Martin, Darren Glover, Terry Funburg and Walter "Diggum" Lane. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Vogt, Donny Vogt, Johnny Vogt, Jim Hart, Jerry Grant, Roger Beaird, Roy Brison, Johnny Ritchie, Rick Chronister, Jerry Fredrick, Alan Garrett, Mike Garrett, Jarrett Johnson and Jerry Davidson.
