William "Dub" Thomas Hart, Jr.

William T. "Dub" Hart, Jr. passed from this life May 8th, 2021, in Muskogee, Oklahoma following a courageous battle with cancer.  William was born October 5th, 1936 to William T. and Hazel (Blanks) Hart in Estelline, Texas.  He graduated from Savannah High School.  William worked as a truck driver for many years.  He enjoyed playing his guitar and harmonica.
William was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Hart, III; sisters, Cherry Anderson, Francis Carnes and Thelma Surley; sons-in-law, Jerry West and Kevin Joice; and brother-in-law, Charley Hodges.  He is survived by daughters, Gayla Hart, Twila Joice, and Cherry Hart West Thompson and husband Bruce, all of Muskogee; grandchildren, Mandi Harris, Candace Bowden, Melody Hart, William Hart IV, Jennifer Stamile, Jessica Burma, Jackie Johnson, and Chelsey Martin; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Tommie Hodges; daughter-in-law, Debra Migues; brother-in-law, Curtis Surley: special friend, Ellen Martin and many friends who will dearly miss him.
Friends may pay their respects from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Hunn Funeral Home, 211 West Okmulgee, Checotah, OKlahoma.  A celebration of Dub's life will be held at a graveside service 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Oktaha Cemetery.
