Wanda Faye Shanks, 84, of Warner, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She was born May 22, 1940, in Warner, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Edward Lewis and Elsie Lou (Cook) Lewis.
Wanda graduated from Warner High School and was a home maker.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Checotah. She enjoyed chocolate, red roses and hummingbirds.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Anthony and Curtiss Beck of Coweta, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Jeremy Shanks and wife, Heather of Coweta, Oklahoma, Eddie Shanks of Owasso, Oklahoma and James Beck of Coweta, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Kristin Ellis and husband, Steve of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Kerry Anthony of Coweta, Oklahoma; great grandson, Jackson Shanks and wife, Savannah of Montana; great-great granddaughter, Aspen Shanks; three sisters, Carol Kveck and Debbie Lewis both of Texas and Delsie Lewis of Muskogee, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elsie Lewis; twin sister, Norma Raye Lewis; daughter, Rhonda Thomas; two brothers, Paul Lewis and his wife, Dolly and Buddy Lewis; two great grandsons, Cody Shanks and William Shanks.
Honoring Wanda cremation is planned. A memorial service for Wanda will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 419700 US-266, Checotah, Oklahoma 74426. Please check back for updated service information.
