Wanda Jean (Hoggard) Jones

Wanda Jean Jones, 85, passed away on December 19, 2022, at her home in Checotah, Oklahoma. She was born on May 15, 1937, the daughter of Thurman Houston and Ruby (Sullivan)  Hoggard, in Hanford, California, where she grew up and attended Hanford public schools. Wanda met Edward Jones and they married in January 1954. They were together 53 years until his passing in 2007.  After retirement in 1999, they moved from California to Oklahoma.  
      Wanda's family was her life. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting and crossword puzzles. Wanda was a loving, kind mother.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Hoggard; sisters, Helen Howard, Euthalee Tillman, Ada Polston and Christina Stout; grandsons, Robert Wolf and C.J. Jones; and great granddaughter, Kinsleigh Craker.
      Wanda is survived by her son, Calvin Jones and wife Lori of Checotah; daughters, Katherine Callison and husband George Miller of Texas, Theresa Throckmorton and husband David of Cheotah, Edwina Worthean and husband Jr. of Checotah; and Stephanie White of Tulsa; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
      Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2022, at Mission Outreach Full Gospel with Bro. Wesley Thomason officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery.
