Truman Dean Webb, 85, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 27, 2022 . He was born the son of Ernest A. and Janett Geraldine (Chappell) Webb on March 5, 1937, in Caney, Oklahoma. Truman grew up in Oktaha where he attended Oktaha schools. He continued his education at Connors State College and Northeastern State University. Truman served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1961. He met Charlotte Pickard and they were married on May 19, 1957. Their union was blessed with two children. After serving in the Air Force, Truman worked as a union butcher for Safeway Grocery. He often volunteered his accounting skills for his church and the Keefeton Fire Department. In the late 1980's, he opened Webb Tax Service which he operated for over 30 years. Truman enjoyed flying and flew as a private pilot. He enjoyed fishing, and meeting with people to prepare their taxes. Truman and Charlotte enjoyed Gospel Music Conventions and OU football. He loved his family and always helped people stranded on the side of the road.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlotte Ann Webb; daughter, Yolanda Woodruff; son-in-law, Larry Woodruff; brothers, Eddie Webb, Terry Webb and Albert Webb; and sister, Priscilla Webb.
Truman is survived by his daughter, Debra Gibbs and husband, Roy and granddaughter, Annmarie Gibbs of Elm Grove; special great-niece, Tiffany Bales Smith of Tahlequah; brothers, Danny Webb and wife Denise of Oklahoma City and Ricky Webb and wife Kathy of Arizona; and many other nieces and nephews who he adored.
Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, at Keefeton Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Barks officiating. Interment will follow in Agnew Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Bales, Clay Bales, Robert Dixon, Billy Webb, Ricky Dixon and Sherman Bales. Honorary pallbearers are Speck Plunkett, Virgil Sallee, Roy Gibbs, Jodie Green, Allen Rouell, Cardell Coppin, Danny Webb, Delbert King, Glen Pickard, David Gibbs, David Pickard, Tim Howk, James Pickard, Keith Smith and Mike Shepherd.
