Tommy Barrett Obituary

Tommy Lynn Barrett, 68, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, Muskogee. He was born January 3, 1953, the son of Fay and Julia (Baker) Barrett, in Muskogee where he was raised and educated.. Tommy was a Navy Corpsman and 100% disabled from an explosion on the U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier CV66 America. He attended St. Anthony School of Nursing and earned a degree in Industrial Safety from Northeastern State University.
Tommy enjoyed attending car shows and was restoring a 1972 Mustang. He was a huge OU fan, loved reading about the Revolutionary War and World War II eras history. Tommy had a very outgoing personality, loved talking to people and inviting them to his home.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 44 years who passed away from COVID on August 8th; brother, Fay Alden Barrett and sister, Sharon Cocanour. He is survived by his daughter, Alissa Howell and husband Bryan of Wagoner and brother, Jim Barrett and wife Judy of Salida, Colorado.
