Terry Phillips, 65, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his home. Terry was born in Checotah, Oklahoma, on November 27, 1958, the son of Robert Lee and Zelma Irene (Leader) Phillips. He attended Central High School in Checotah. Terry worked as a semi truck driver his entire life spending 27 of those years working for Wheeler Metals. He enjoyed aggravating his grandchildren and giving folks a hard time.
Survivors include: his daughters, Candia Stoneburner and husband Jeremy of Checotah and Alicia Molino and husband Jerome also of Checotah; grandchildren, Chase Turney, Jayston Stoneburner, McKenzie Phillips, Ciara Stoneburner, Jaxon Molino, Hayden Molino and Kayci Stoneburner; great grandchildren, Carter Turney and Creed Turney; grand pup, Little Red Weenie Dog (E.B.); brothers, Bill Phillips of Checotah, Jerry Phillips and wife Kim of Checotah, Jay Phillips and wife Janie of Catoosa; sisters, Phyllis Matthews of Catoosa and Barbara Gordon of Checotah; sister-in-law, Lola Phillips of Checotah and numerous other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Misty Phillips, brother David Phillips, sister Linda Phillips, sister-in-law Becky Phillips, niece Samantha Phillips, nephews Nathan Addington and Bobby Gordon, brother-in-law Deryl Gordon and nephew-in-law, David Ford.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Triplett Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hunnfuneralhome.com
