Sharon Lea Barrett, 67, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, died Sunday, August, 8, 2021. She was born March 26, 1954 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Clifford and Edna (Latty) Vanderpool. Sharon attended Wainwright schools. She lived in many other states until settling in Oklahoma in 1970. She had an Associates Degree from Okmulgee Tech. She worked as a medical transcriptionist until her retirement. Sharon and her husband, Tom, owned a home health company for many years in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
Sharon loved to travel all over the United States in their motor home. She enjoyed History connected with her travels. The holidays were a special time for her. She and her daughter always made candy the week before Thanksgiving. Sharon was fierce in her convictions and was of the Baptist faith.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clifford Vanderpool, Jr.; sisters, Ann Manard, Jane Kennedy, Maxine Burke and Pauline Root. She is survived by her husband, Tom, of 44 years; and daughter, Alissa Howell and her husband, Bryan, of Wagoner. She leaves behind extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
