Sandra Ratliff Obituary

Sandra Gwen Ratliff, 64, of Checotah passed into her Heavenly home on January 31, 2020 in Seminole County. She was born July 17, 1955 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Sandy was the daughter of J. B. and Norma (Harmon) Wooten. She grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma and attended school there. She attended Connors State College for her associate degree and later in life attended OSU for her bachelors in business and accounting.

Sandy loved horses, all animals, fishing, singing, baking, family and Jesus. She worked hard all her life at many different jobs but she excelled most at loving and serving people. She loved her OSU Cowboys and OKC Thunder. She would watch as many games as possible and cheer loudly and even drive two hours as often as she could to put T-shirts on seats for Thunder games.

Sandy was an amazing daughter, sister, mom, Meemaw, great-Meemaw and loving friend to many people. She was constantly putting the needs of others above her own. She loved spending time with family, friends and her fur-babies.

More than any of these things she was a devout child of God. She had an enormous faith. Sandy was constantly praying and studying God’s word. She was prepared at any given moment to testify and witness for the Lord.

She was taken home to be with the Lord suddenly and way too soon. She was very much loved and will be missed by so many people.

Sandy was preceded in death by her dad, J.B. Wooten; her brother, Darrell Wooten; and her grandparents, Earl and May Wooten, and Rufus Harmon and Fillisee Fisher-Harmon; and great-grandma, Carrie Cameron.

She is survived by her mom, Norma Wooten; her brother, Henry Wooten; her children, Belinda Bennett and husband Bill of Mustang, Harroll Ratliff of Checotah, and Thomas Ratliff of Checotah; her grandchildren, Carson and wife Kasey, Alicia, Cordney, Kyler, Korbyn and Kyra; her great-grandchildren, Rylen and Maddox (and a new one will join us in May) and nephew, Shawn Wooten.
