Ruby (Palmer) May

Ruby May was born on February 27, 1936  in Pierce County to Gentle Green and Lottie (Bronson) Palmer.  She attended Warrior Schools from 1945-1946.  She loved helping people.  She also loved kids though she didn't have any.  Ruby worked in California as a security guard then came to Oklahoma where she worked at the 69 Diner as a cook.  She will be missed dearly.
Survivors include:  her brothers, Percy Palmer and Eddie Palmer; her sister, Evelean Palmer Smith; her nephews, Paul E. Smith and Eric Deon Smith.  She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lillian Whitfield, Flossie Dunam, Betty J. Dan, and Mable Wession.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 4, at the Warrior Cemetery with Reverend Sam Harper officiating.  Services are under the direction of Checotah Funeral and Cremation Service.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.checotahfuneralservice.com.
