Rose Lee Titus, 89, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, August 15th, 2021, at Checotah Nursing Center. She was born on March 23rd, 1932, the daughter of Virgil Lee and Iva (Prentiss) Lee in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was raised. Rose attended OSU graduating with a BS degree. After her husband's military career, they returned to Oklahoma where they raised their family in Norman. Rose was a homemaker all her life. The family enjoyed traveling and visited every state in the continental United States. She and her husband, Edgar, lived in Mexico for 12 years after their retirement. She enjoyed knitting and roller skating on the boardwalk. Rose enjoyed her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar Titus; daughter-in-law, Earlene Titus and grandson, Joseph Titus. Rose is survived by her sons, Terry Titus of Newcastle, Oklahoma and Edward Titus of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Leo Lee; sister, Margaret Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and five grandchildren.
