Ronnie Ray Baker, 83, passed from this life on Sunday, November 20th, 2022. He was born September 20, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa to Ray Mac Baker and Thurley (Gott) Valim-Day.
Ronnie grew up in Iowa City. He and his mother moved to Joshua Tree, California when he was in his late twenties.. He always told the story how he and his mother rode the Zephyr Train to California.
He loved fishing and watching Westerns. His hero was John Wayne. Ronnie also had a great love for his dogs and all animals in general. For the past ten years, Ronnie lived with his nephew and niece, Anthony and Jetina Rego.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Mac Baker and Thurley Valim-Day; sister, Rachelle Rego; and brother, Steve. He is survived by his brother, Doug Powers of California; and nephew, Anthony Rego and wife Jetina of Warner, Oklahoma and their daughters, Ariel and Audrey.
