RONALD LEE PITMAN, SR.
1946 - 2016
Ronald Lee Pitman Sr., 69, passed away on November 23, 2016 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born on December 26, 1946 in Mulberry, Arkansas to Joseph Edward Pitman and Opal Marie (Kelly) Pitman. Ronald grew up in Arkansas and Muskogee. He graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1964. He enjoyed a successful career as a union electrician. He married his former wife Stella Lou Rhodes and had two children Ronald Lee Pitman Jr. and Kara Marie (Pitman) Applegate. He attended Believers Christian Fellowship Church in Muskogee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Pitman. His survivors include his mother, Opal Pitman of Muskogee; sister, Jo Marie Stotts of Muskogee; son, Ron Pitman and wife Andrea of Muskogee; daughter, Kara Applegate and husband Randy of Broken Arrow; granddaughters, Ashlie White, Chelsie Hamilton and husband Zach, Gabrielle Holinsworth and husband Mark, and Allison Pitman all of Muskogee.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel located at 7600 Old Taft Road, Muskogee, OK.
