Roger Stewart

Roger Lynn Stewart, 66, passed from this life on December 19, 2022, in Henryetta, Oklahoma.  Roger was born in Edmond, Oklahoma on May 20, 1956, to Claude Stewart and Bertie (Marshall Stewart.  

He lived in Checotah with his family until the age of 13.  The family moved to Denison, Texas where he attended Denison public schools graduating in 1974.  After high school, the family moved back to Oklahoma making their home in Eufaula.  He worked in the grocery business for about 10 years.  

Roger then moved to Savannah, Georgia where he followed his passion installing audio/visual systems for churches and civic auditoriums.  He also ran the sound board and mixers for several gospel and country groups in the Savannah area.  Roger loved to sing and play his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Bertie Stewart; and brothers Floyd Wesley and Darrell Wayne Stewart.  He is survived by his sons, Roger Glenn Stewart and Joseph Stewart both of Eufaula; daughter, Rachel Stewart also of Eufaula; brothers, Junior Stewart and wife Melissa Jane of Checotah and Jerry Don Stewart and wife Teresa of Bonham, Texas; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service remembering his life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in the Greenlawn Cemetery.  Rev. Nathan Lamirand, Compass Assembly of God Church, will officiate the service.
