Robert Ward Obituary
Robert Alvin Ward, age 83, died on December 2nd, 2016. He was born November 27th, 1933 in St. Louis, Mo. to Greene and Lillian (Yocom) Ward. He entered the Navy in 1951 and fought in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955. He met the love of his life, Sylvia Glunt while his ship was in port at Philadelphia, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sylvia Ward; daughters, Judy Antonioni and husband Vernon of Muskogee, Joni Georges of Oregon; sons, Jeff Ward of Jacksonville, FL and Bob Ward and wife Carol of Kansas City; granddaughters, Hilary Yager, Paige Roberts, Cali Milks, Missy Robison, Jacque Ware, Jennifer Ashwood, and Gina Hall; grandsons, Brandon Georges, Dustin Ward and Brad Antonioni; sister, Wanda Andereck; special daughter-in-law, Kathy Ward; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends and family Monday from 5-7pm at Bradley Family Funeral Home 1020 W. Okmulgee, Muskogee. Services will be at Eastside Community Church Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 10 am. Burial will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Yager, Matt Roberts, Dan Robison, Dustin Ward, Jesse Ashwood, and Parker Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Denny Miller and Bret Miller. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Clinic or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
