Ricky Don Self

Ricky Don Self, 61, of Council Hill, Oklahoma, passed away on November 10, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, Muskogee. He was born on June 15, 1960, the son of Clyde Everett and Patsy (Hogue) McFarland in Snyder, Texas.  Ricky grew up in the Waco, Texas area and  graduated from Midway High School in Waco.  In 1986, he married Gina Parker.  They moved to Oklahoma in 1990.  Ricky worked for Blue Wave for 10 years as a boat builder and then Dal Tile for 10 years.  He was a hard worker.  He loved his children and grandchildren and took good care of his wife and family.  Ricky enjoyed fishing and loved to hunt.  He was of the Baptist faith.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Gene Parker; sister-in-law, Stella Self; and niece, Megan Self.  He is survived by his favorite mother-in-law, Corene Smith; wife, Gina Self of the home; son, Edward Self (Stefanie Archer) of Warner, OK; daughter, Krystle Emberson (Tori) of Council Hill, Conetta Emberson, Buford and Tessa Emberson, Crystle and Bryan Lafovar and Daniel and Bobbie Hamm and all their children; sister-in-law, Rhonda Parker; nephew, Scott Tabbytite; grandchildren, Jozee Gene Emberson, Robert Buford Clyde Emberson, Donaven Gene Self, Kaitlyn Torix;  and brothers, Thurman Self and Lonnie (Brenda) Self all of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
