Rhonda Gail (Mitchell) Russell

Rhonda Gail Russell, 59, passed away unexpectedly at home September 26, 2021.  Gail was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on December 29th, 1961 to Harold and Fonda (Herron) Mitchell.

She attended Checotah schools and Conners College.  She worked as a dental assistant for an oral surgeon. Gail enjoyed spending time with her grandsons.  She was a loving person who always put others before herself.  Another activity she enjoyed was taking part in Cruise Nights at Checotah and Gore.  Just two weeks ago, she and Mark won the Policeman's Choice trophy at the Gore Cruise Night.

Gail was preceded in death by her father, Harold Mitchell. She is survived by her son, Kaelan McGrew of Muskogee; daughter, Mikaela McGrew of Muskogee; mother, Fonda  Mitchell of Checotah; brother, Edwin Mitchell and partner Regina of Checotah; grandsons, Aiden, Ethan, and Kohen.  She is also survived by her significant other for the past six years, Mark Wiseman of Muskogee.

 Gail will be interred in the Greenlawn Cemetery with graveside services to be determined later this week.  Friends may leave condolences on the website: www.hunnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hunn Funeral Home, Checotah, Oklahoma.
