Reginald "Big Dan" Wayne Dan

      Reginald Wayne Dan, 54, of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, August 28th, 2022.  He was born August 17th, 1968, the son of Willie and Minnie (Walls) Dan in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma and graduated from Checotah High School with the class of 1986.  During the summers, he worked with youth programs. He was employed four years at Apex before hiring on with the City of Checotah where he worked about 20 years.  
      Big Dan enjoyed fixing up cars, trading cars and loved installing car sound systems.  He enjoyed music and dancing. Reggie was known as the class clown.  He was a natural cut-up.
      Reggie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marcella Dan, Ella Gilyard, Vickie Escoe and Anita Dan; and brother, Ray Dan.  He is survived by brothers, Homer Dan and wife Esther of Checotah, Michael Dan and wife Vickie of Broken Arrow and Willie Dan, Jr. and wife LaNorma of Checotah; sister, Tema Warrior and husband Duane of Checotah; and special friends, David Moham, La Conia Hughes and Michael Carter.
