Regina Gisele (Johnson) Nester

Regina Gisele Nester, 63, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Regina was born on August 28, 1961, in Chandler, Oklahoma, the daughter of Francis Clifton and LaWanda Faye (Bailey) Johnson. She went to Chandler Schools until 9th grade and graduated from Ada High School in 1979. After graduation she went in the Marine Corp for a brief time. She was a hard worker in all jobs she did in her life, her final job was as a file maintenance administrator at Cash Savers in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where all of her coworkers thought highly of her and loved her. Regina loved her family very much. She definitely lived for being a Grandma, she loved her grandbabies very much. She was always there for them and enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with them.

She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Stubbs and husband Aaron of Checotah; and her five grandchildren, MacKinzae Nester, Shyann Stubbs, MacKaydyn Nester, Luke Stubbs, and Theodore Stubbs; her sister Tina Hammons and husband Steve of Yukon; brother Vic Johnson of Ada; sister Marianna Jacquemin and husband Tom of Mustang; nieces and nephews; as well as several great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William C. "Bill" and Winifred "Winnie" (Bagwell) Bailey; her parents, Francis C Johnson and LaWanda Faye Ward; three aunts, Doris Herd, Mary Ritchie, and Billie Baucam; and great nephew, Hunter David Fick.

No funeral services will be held. There will be a memorial at a later time.
