Raymond A. Jorski, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 13 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born on February 20, 1930 at the family farm in Harrah, Oklahoma to August and Martha Miller Jorski.
On August 9, 1952, Raymond was married to Harriette Wyskup at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Harrah, OK. Ray and Harriette spent 68 wonderful years together. During their marriage they enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and dancing. Ray served in the United States Air Force from January 1951 to December 1954. After several moves with the USAF and job transfers they settled in Muskogee in 1966. Raymond worked in the insurance industry in the capacity of agent, manager and agency owner.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he served as an Usher and Eucharistic Minister for many years.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Harriette Jorski and two sons, Donald Jorski and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City, OK and Phillip Jorski of Ft. Gibson, OK; grandson, Jason Jorski of New Berlin, WI; twin granddaughters, Katie Branch, Christie Skidmore and husband Ryan; great grandchildren, Nicholas Skidmore and Natalie Skidmore of Paris, TX and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Mary Brink and his brothers Ben, Tom and Jim of Harrah, OK.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, at 5:00pm until 6:30pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 321 N. Virginia St. in Muskogee, OK. A Rosary will follow from 6:30pm to 7:00pm. The funeral service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, October 17th at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery in Harrah, OK at 2:00pm.
