Ray Lynn Dodgin, 57, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on September 4, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on March 6, 1964, the son of Ray Dodgin and Nellie (Rogers) Lyking in Muskogee. Ray attended Muskogee High School with the class of 1981 and the following year went to Tahlequah Job Corp. Ray had also lived in Norwalk, Ohio, Hayfork, California, and Sand Hills, Oklahoma.
Ray was a former member of the Board of Directors for the Okay Senior Center, Okay, Oklahoma. He was a professional cook at Creek Nation, a clerk as Lawsons Convenience Store and manager at Seven Eleven. He worked at the Muskogee Regional Medical Center, was a floor manager at Faulhaber and was a medical assistant at Broadway Manor Nursing Home.
Ray was a super great brother! He was a kind and fun-loving person that would do anything for anyone. He raised three younger siblings because their single mom worked a lot to take care of them. He made a jewelry box for his sister that she loved so much. He was the best artist and drew anything and everything. Ray loved all animals. He loved his brothers and sisters for sure. He loved to build anything he thought anyone would like. He would write poetry and make up little saying and paint a picture to go with it. Ray was just an all-around great guy who loved with his whole heart and never gave up on anything he wanted, whether it was a job, a partner, his family, or a friend.
Ray is survived by his sisters, Melissa Reynolds and Edith Ann Hobbs; and brother, Eldon Eugene Lykins, Jr.
