Randell Lee Reeves, Sr. 76, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at his home. Randell was born on June 22, 1945, in Checotah, Oklahoma the son of Delmer and Laura Olean (Cowan) Reeves. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 1963. He was a member of the Army National Guard. In 1967, Randell married Elizabeth Avants in Eufaula from this union came two children. Randell attended Connors and Northeastern State University liking just 8 hours to complete his teaching degree. On October 18, 1971, Randell married Barbara Jean Clark, from this union came five children. They were happily married forty-nine years. Randell worked as a carpenter most of his life. He loved to fish, hunt and go to yard sales. He especially loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Survivors include: his sons, Randy Reeves and wife Deana of Checotah, Jimmy Reeves and wife Christina of Lexington, TN; daughters, Donna Luke and husband Jimmy Don of Checotah, Christi Tedlock and husband David of Schulter, Tiffany Francis and husband Terry of Claremore; grandchildren, Kolby, Sharee, Natasha, Timmy, Phelicia, Dexter, Christopher, Jeffrey, Mary, Amber, Aubrey, Mattea, Isaac, Dakota K., Matthew, Dakota R., Mikyla, Kolton, Kaitlyn, Blake, Caylee, Chloe, and Brycee and twenty-nine great grandchildren; his sisters, Yvonne Pence of Sallisaw and Carolyn Emberton of Tulsa, and his dog Red. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mattie Reynolds, sisters-in-law, Judy and husband Bob Baker of Checotah, Pam Cole of Checotah and brother-in-law Verny and wife Janice Clark of Checotah. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; daughter, Becky Reeves; son, Clark Reeves; grandson, Jameson Reeves and a great grandson, Keith Peterson.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the Tiger Mountain Church Camp with Reverend Chuck Tankersley officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery.
