Peggy Jasnea Meeks

  Peggy Jasnea Meeks, 58, passed from this life on August 25th, 2021.  Peggy was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on December 7, 1962 to D.A. and Nellie (Shelton) Meeks.

 Peggy attended Muskogee schools and lived here most of her life.  She moved to Roland, Oklahoma about 15 years ago to live with her aunt Willa Dean.  Peggy was a hard worker owning a lawn mowing service and working at the Baymont Inn in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  She was a friendly person who loved to make people laugh.

 Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Meeks; and sister, Melva Long.  She is survived by her son, Carroll Meeks of Muskogee; daughter, Julie Meeks of Roland, Oklahoma; brothers, Willie Meeks, Jack Meeks and wife Betty, Frank Meeks and wife Sally all of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Tim Meeks of Roland, Oklahoma; sister, Louise Sims and husband Curtis of Porum Landing, Oklahoma, and many extended family members and friends who will dearly miss her smiling face.

Graveside services celebrating Peggy's life will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Memorial Park Cemetery on 7600 Taft Rd., Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Friends may leave condolences on the website: hunnfuneralhome.com  Arrangements are under the direction of Hunn Funeral Home, Checotah, OK.
