Pearl Bernice Wait was born in Roswell, New Mexico August 12, 1938. She spent part of her childhood and obtained elementary education in Roswell. Later the family moved to Arizona where they lived and she attended elementary school there. In the early 1950’s, the family moved to Gore, Oklahoma where Pearl completed her high school education and graduated in 1955 or 1956.
In the middle 1980’s Pearl attended Connors State College and earned an Associates Degree in Special Education. She utilized her knowledge to care for her intellectually challenged son, Wesley Wayne.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Wait; father, Thomas Brannan; mother, Thelma Staton; two brothers, Ernie Brannan and Hubert Dee Brannan and sister, Norma Chandler.
She is survived by her son, Wesley Wayne Wait, of Broken Arrow; daughter, Annette Haggard and son-in-law, Ray Haggard, of Broken Arrow; brother, Gene Brannan and his wife, Barbara Brannan, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Checotah Funeral Service Chapel. Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
