Morris Thomas, III Obituary

Morris Thomas, III, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  “Mo” was born Baldwin Park, California on March 20, 1960, to Morris Thomas, Jr., and Wanda (Wood) Thomas.

The Thomas family moved to Ohio when Mo was very young and then back to California, where he finished high school in Los Angeles County.  He joined the United States Marines after high school in 1977.

For the past 29 years, he has lived in Oklahoma having worked in the oil field industry for many years.  Those who knew him were very familiar with his pranks and jokes.  Mo loved to tell stories, which he embellished because it made the stories much better.  He also enjoyed fishing.  Mo and Judy met in Muskogee, Oklahoma and were married on his birthday, March 20, 2021.

Mo was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Wanda Thomas; brother Jimbo Thomas; and grandparents.  He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; daughters, Sarah Snyder and husband Hayden of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Mya Thomas and husband Michael Helminiak of Norman, Oklahoma; brother, Jeremiah Ray Thomas of McAlester, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Samuel and Jackson Snyder; special friends, Cheryl Spoon, Tim Sterling, and many friends and brother veterans.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Honor Heights Towers, 300 N. 40th St., Muskogee, OK.  Condolences may be made online at www.hunnfuneralhome.com.
