Michael W. Taylor, 53, passed away on July 22, 2020 in Tulsa, OK. Michael was born on April 9,1967 to Howard and Joann (Jim) in Talihina, OK.
Michael and Maleya Taylor were married July 8, 1988. They spent 32 yrs together raising their children Joshua Taylor and Hannah Paige Taylor both of Checotah, OK.
Michael was an avid fisherman, fun loving, frybread maker, talented beadwork artist, loving dad and husband,die-hard Dallas Cowboy and OU Sooners fan andProud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Brenda Samuel, Debbie Taylor and brother, Rodney Taylor. His in-laws: Rev. Richmond and Frankie Carr.
Michael is lovingly survived by wife Maleya Taylor of Checotah, OK; son Joshua Taylor & Stephanie of Checotah;daughter Hannah “Paiger” Taylor of Checotah; grandchildren Makia Scott, OKC; Artis Scott, OKC; Great grandchildren Demarcus and Jaleyla Jackson; Sister Sherry Taylor, OKC; brother Lynn Taylor, Nevada; sister-in-law Robyn Thompson, Checotah, OK
He is also survived by a host of nephews and nieces that lovingly called him “uncle”. Many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Special “sons” Levi Derrick and David Moham
