Mary Dean (Skaggs) Reed

Mary Dean Reed, 88, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

She was born May 6, 1937, in Vinson, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Henry Skaggs and Mary Helen Farris.

Mary Dean was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Vinson, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed crafts and was eager to trying new things.

Survivors include her sons, Keith Jones and his wife, Shirlene of Beaumont, California and Porter Jones and his wife, Maggie of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her granddaughter, Jenna Jones; her great-grandson, Austin Johnson and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Helen Skaggs and four siblings.

Honoring Mary Dean cremation is planned.  No services have been scheduled at this time.  The family will celebrate Mary Dean’s life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.act.alz.org.
