Mary Miller Obituary

Mary Lee was born in London, AR, to James E. and Cyrena Lee Wheeler on October 30, 1923. When she was 7, her parents moved to Boynton, OK. She graduated from high school there and when she was 18, Mary Lee married Carroll Eugene Harris. He joined the Air Force and she followed him wherever he was stationed. To this union, two children were born, Rebecca Jean and John Allen Harris. When Eugene came out of the service, they settled in Muskogee. Eugene worked for the V.A. until his health failed him. Mary Lee worked for Corning Glass for 28 years. Mary Lee belonged to Central Baptist Church in Muskogee for 60 years. She loved her church work, ceramics, traveling, and doing special things for her family. She married Lee Bivens in 1969. Mary Lee and Lee continued to travel and take cruises. Mary Lee married Karl Miller in 2000. She was very thankful to have LeAnn Greer as a wonderful caregiver during her later years.

Preceding her in death was her mother and father; husbands, Eugene Harris and Lee Bivens; brothers, Buck and Thurman Wheeler; sister, Hazel Sorrels; daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Greer, Suzie Perkins, and Connie Bivens. Survivors include: husband, Karl Miller and family, Francie Sisson and husband Dan of Anadarko, Sally Thomas and husband Jim of Centennial, CO, Audrey Scenter and Mick Miller both of Muskogee; son, John Harris and wife Paula; grandchildren, LeAnn Greer of Pryor, Tommy Greer of Pryor, Bryan Greer of Chouteau, Mathew Harris of Burleson, TX, Cyrena Brewer and husband Bryan Brewer of Burleson, TX; son-in-law, David Greer of Pryor; sister-in-law, Flo Wheeler; niece, Marie Ellison; nephew, Jimmy Wheeler; and one special friend, Tim Harris; Bobby Bivens, Ronnie Bivens, Joyce Dietrick and husband Tom Higgins of Tulsa.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mary Lee Miller will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday September 23, 2016 in Bradley Belltower Chapel with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
