Mary Flechs Obituary

Mary Ann Flechs, 89, of Bixby, OK, passed away September 26, 2022.  She was born July 16, 1933, to William A. and Minnie Mae (London) Casey in Morris, OK.  Mary Ann graduated from Morris High School in 1951. She married Herman A. Flechs on August 5, 1951.  

Mary Ann worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Human Services for over 25 years and was a Social Worker when she retired.  Mary Ann's greatest loves were her grandchildren and family, playing Bridge, and watching her NFL football games, especially the Dallas Cowboys.  

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herman; her daughter, Mary K. (Flechs) Kare; one sister, Velma; one brother, Bill; and her two sons-in-law, Jordin and Gary.  She is survived by daughter, Barbara Taggart of Bixby, OK; three sisters, Betty, Shirley, Linda; two brothers, Bob, John; grandchildren, Darcie Taggart of Louisville, KY; Sarah Taggart of Tulsa, OK; Joe Taggart of Bixby, OK; great grandchild Max Taggart of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.  

A private memorial service will be conducted by the family.   Her cremated remains will be inurned in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muskogee, OK.  Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Services are under the direction of the Hunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Checotah, OK.
