Mary Ann Bruch, 74, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
She was born the daughter of Troy Dale Lay and Baby Ruth (Mayes) Lay, on November 29, 1949, in Yukon, Oklahoma. Mary received her education at Deer Creek School in Deer Creek, Oklahoma. She and Bernd Bruch married on February 27, 1967 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mary worked as a legal secretary, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, sewing, crocheting, and knitting but most of all she enjoyed spoiling her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Lay and twin sister, Margaret Burnett. She is survived by her husband Bernd Bruch of Checotah; son, Frankie Marshall and wife, Sherri Johnson of Checotah; niece, Pam Simpson of Muskogee; brother Dale Lay of Yuma, Arizona; sister, Paula Hendrickson of Pensacola, Florida; four grandchildren, Selina Hadfield of West Jordan, Utah, Raymond Trujillo of Austin, Texas, Ashley Gordon of Pflugerville, Texas, and Christopher McGee of Lake Charles, Louisiana: six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Hunn Funeral Home Chapel in Checotah with Ethan Hale officiating.
