Marvis Elvie Blevins, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Broadway Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 22, 1936 to Elbery Floyd Rogers and Elvie R. (Murrell) Rogers in Gordonville, Texas. She graduated from high school in Keene, Texas. Marvis married Henry Blevins on September 1, 1956. They were together until his passing on December 25, 2009.
Marvis loved her grandkids and adored her great grandkids. She enjoyed cooking, painting and crafting, line dancing and often had her family over for Sunday dinner. She was a member of the Purple Hat Society of Muskogee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; two brothers, three sisters; and one son, Dewayne Blevins. Marvis is survived by her daughter, Connie Lynne Koehn and husband Lewis of Muskogee; granddaughter Brandy Cluck and husband Danny of Shawnee; grandsons, Jeremy Black of Glenpool, Christopher Black and wife Margaret of Jenks, Lindsey Black and wife Rendie of Muskogee and Brandon Blevins and wife Lacey of Muskogee; eleven great grandchildren, Noah and Lilly Cluck, Memphis, Albany, and Brooklyn Black, Olivia and Oliver Black, Lyla Blevins, Bella Cobler, Layla and Kyla Black; and daughter-in-law, Johnette Blevins of Muskogee.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2021 at Timothy Baptist Church, Muskogee. A celebration of her life will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Timothy Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. in Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
