MARTHA ANN KNOX HILSON
4/21/1943 - 12/3/2016
Our dear Martha Ann Knox Hilson passed away at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK surrounded by her loved ones.
An extraordinary mother, sister, and friend, Ann spent most of her life quietly (mostly) championing for fairness and what was right. Ann consciously lived by the Golden Rule and WWJD (what would Jesus do) and absolutely believed in leading by example. She loved her children and her family, and she adored her Red Hat sisters and her Muskogee New Friends group.
In keeping with her lively spirit and somewhat unconventional nature we shall not hold formal services, but rather a celebratory Memorial for Ann will be held in the Spring, when the azaleas bloom again.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.foster-petering.com.
