Marlie Rhys Green

Marlie Rhys Green, “Our Baby”, beloved infant daughter of Tashina and Russell Green was born on Friday, June 16, 2023 in Tulsa, OK. Marlie passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in her parents loving arms. 
      Marlie was loved by so many people.  She touched so many lives - those who knew her, those who didn’t and those who never got to meet her, yet all were amazed with her fight and strength.  Our little wildflower made a considerable impact on the world in such little time.
      She is survived by and will be remembered by her parents, Tashina and Russell Green and her big brother, Jackson Green “Action Jackson”.  Paternal grandparents Patty and Galen Green of Checotah, paternal great-grandparents Randall and Janet Smith of Checotah, Glen Green of Titusville, FL and Ruth Ann Green of Porum Landing, paternal uncle Garrett Green of Checotah, maternal uncle and aunt Garret and Tori Singer of Sapulpa, maternal aunt Jessica Wackerly of OKC, maternal great-grandparents Neal and Kathy Emerson of Checotah, maternal great-grandmother Grandma Lou of McAlester, and a significant number of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Stacy Emerson and cousin Ashton Emerson. 
      Visitation for close family and friends will be from 6 - 8 pm Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Hunn Funeral Home in Checotah.  Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, July 21, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Curtis Hartshorn officiating.  All will be welcome. Pallbearers will be Garrett Green and Garret Singer.
