Marilyn Mae Crittenden, aged 84, of Warner, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on May 9, 2025, at her home.
Born on April 3, 1941, in Rochester, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Ralph Howe and Florence (Harrington) Douglas Leap and the father who raised her, JR Douglas.
On November 2, 1958, Marilyn married Bruce Crittenden in Spearman, Texas, at her grandmother's residence. Their marriage flourished for sixty-six years, surrounded by love, family, friends and a lot of patience.
Marilyn dedicated her career to the sewing industry and was known for her passion for quilting. She also enjoyed planting flowers, baking, playing board and card games, drawing and painting and cherishing moments with her family, which brought her great joy.
She is survived by her beloved husband Bruce; daughters Susie Chambers, Jane Coppin and her husband Craig, and Carrie Dean and her husband Rick; sister Maggie Scott and her husband Lee; half-sister Cheryl Baugh; as well as three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four bonus grandchildren, six bonus great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Danielle Sumter; brother, Pat Leap and son-in-law, Jack Wade Chambers.
Marilyn Mae Crittenden will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her warm spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
