Leona May Martin, 89, of Oktaha, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. Leona was born on May 28, 1933, in Oktaha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Andrew A. and Della Magdalene (Gamblin) Rouell. Leona attended Oktaha Public Schools. She married Elbert Fox Martin. Leona worked for Bush's Cannery for thirty years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: her sons, Stan Walker, of Oktaha, James Ray Walker and wife Delores of Oktaha and John Houston Walker and wife Sheila of Pryor; daughter, Lois Price and husband Lanney of Muskogee; sister, Mary Evelyn Woods of Claremore, and sisters-in-law, Corrine Rouell of Muskogee and Georgia Rouell; nine grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elbert, daughter, Thelma Louise Anderson, brothers, Edgar James Rouell, Elbert Ray Rouell, Ira Eugene Rouell, Bill Rouell, Alvie Rouell, Erie Rouell, and Wilbert Rouell, sisters, Neldie Magdalen Rouell, Faye Wallace, Maude Crapo, and Junly Wilson. She is also preceded in death by five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Keefeton Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Barks officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
