Larry Glen Arnold

Larry Glen Arnold, 73, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on March 13, 1952, the son of Billy Matthews Arnold and Jessie Imogene (Whisenhunt) Armer.

Larry attended Checotah High School.  He worked in construction.  He enjoyed, hunting for arrowheads, working on cars and spending time with his family, especially time spent with his beloved dog, Bella.

Survivors include his children, Shane Matthews Arnold and his wife, Valarie of Eufaula, Heather Jean Lilienthal of Checotah, Larry Joe Arnold of Checotah and Lydia Shotwell of Okmulgee; grandchildren, Shane Robert Arnold, Zoe Arnold, Miracle Winkle, Zack Morris, Morgan Shotwell, Sarah Shotwell and Jake Shotwell; seven great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Donna Sue Sisemore of Checotah, Rose Dillon of Tahlequah, Cheryl Sexton and her husband, Jim of Checotah and Vickie Mann of Checotah; his aunt, Mildred Wooten of Checotah; his beloved dog and companion, Bella and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda G. (Tedlock) Arnold on May 12, 1999; his parents, Billy Arnold and Jessie Armer; his sisters, Patsy Jo Rock and Billie Jean Branam.

Viewing for Larry will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 211 W. Okmulgee St., Checotah, Oklahoma 74426.  The family will greet friends starting at 4:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 713 N. Broadway St., Checotah, Oklahoma 74426 with Pastor Mark Shores officiating.  Interment will follow at Triplett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Tiger, Lyle Sexton, Reggie Sexton, Shane Arnold, Wesley Branam and Robin Rock.  

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Sexton, Grant Butler, Garett Sexton, PJ Rock and Bryson Page.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 211 W. Okmulgee St., Checotah, Oklahoma 74426.
