Kim Kathryn Johnson, 66, passed from this life, doing what she loved most, on November 19th, 2022. Kim was feeding her flocks of chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guineas, and peacocks when she passed. Kim was born December 9th, 1955, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Elmer Johnson and Bonnie Mae (Gaylord) Johnson.
She grew up in Minneapolis attending Minneapolis schools and graduating high school in 1973. After high school, Kim worked at Sears and Honeywell. She came to Oklahoma in 1981 to begin driving OTR trucks. It was while driving truck for a company in Tulsa that she met Jim Segress. They later married in 1995. She quit driving over-the-road in 2007 becoming the assistant manager at the EZ Mart Truck Stop in Checotah.
In 2009, Kim began driving for KATS. She loved her passengers, and they loved her. She was the most often requested driver by her passengers and she remembered everyone's name. Kim was the type of person who never met a stranger. The joy of her life, however, were the fowl she raised as a hobby. Whenever Jim needed to find her, she would be working with her birds.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Bonnie Mae Johnson. She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Jim Segress of the home; and two brothers, Todd Johnson of Minnesota and Roddy Johnson, also of Minnesota.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
