Kathleen Ann Phillips

   Kathleen Ann Phillips, 76, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away January 19, 2022 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  She was born November 13, 1945 in Plaquemine, Louisiana, the daughter of Robert and Ida (Bezett) Seymour.  Kathleen was raised in Donaldsonville, Louisiana where she grew up in the Catholic faith. Growing up, she was affectionately called Tam by everyone who knew her.  In 1977, she moved to Oklahoma.  She worked as a CNA at a nursing home.  Kathleen loved fashion and beautiful clothes.  She enjoyed cleaning and walking every day.  Kathleen loved cats, especially black ones, and her granddogs.  She enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair and listening to country music.  Kathleen was a very independent and heartwarming person.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Paul Ruiz, Jr.; and brother, Gene Seymour.  Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jamie Gray and her husband Trenton of Warner, OK; five grandchildren, Jesseca, Justin, Carlie, Dexter and Trystan; five great-grandchildren, sisters, Audrey Landry and her husband Lamar of Donaldsonville, LA and Renie Aucion and her husband Jerry of Denham Springs, LA.
      Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Tim Turner officiating.
