Julia Swearingen Obituary

Julia Anne Swearingen, 85, of Muskogee, died early Christmas Eve. She was born October 5, 1931 in Muskogee, where she received her normal education. After graduating high school, Anne moved to Oklahoma City with her parents where she met and married Charles Swearingen. They had two children, Anthony Swearingen of Sallisaw, and Sandy Smith of Muskogee. Later they moved with her parents back to Muskogee. Anne worked for the Muskogee School System for many years. She enjoyed her time as manager of the Alice Robertson school cafeteria. After the passing of her first husband, Anne married Jiggs Swearingen of Chillicothe, IL. There, during retirement, she spent quality time with her new husband. After the loss of her second husband, Anne moved back home to Muskogee. Anne spent the remainder of her life enjoying time with her friends, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Anne was a very beautiful and funny woman who was not afraid to tell you what she was thinking. She had a close personal relationship with her LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include: son, Anthony Ray Swearingen of Sallisaw; daughter, Sandy Smith of Muskogee; brother, William Hunt of Muskogee; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one
great-great-grandchild on the way.
Memorial services will be held at 1PM, Thursday, December 29th, at Fosters' Ivory Chapel in Muskogee.
