Jonathan Moses Obituary

On Saturday, January 16, 2021, Jonathan Dene Moses (JonBoy), father, son, and brother, passed away at age 41. He fought a hard battle the best he knew how, now no more medicine, no more doctors, he's at peace.

Jonathan was born on August 29, 1979 in Tahlequah, OK to Jonathan Joc Moses and Carolyn Sue Moses (Barrows). He was an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation and proud of it. He attended Hilldale Schools in Muskogee. He later became a father and raised two daughters, Kamden Leah Moses and Natorian Bree Steveson.

Jonathan's interests were art, cars, movies, music, fishing and family. His art skills started to evolve around junior high and took off from there. His interest in cars came naturally from his Moses side but his passion was for the Camaro He was an avid movie collector. Clutch and Pantera were his favorite bands. Lastly, he loved his family. It was hard at times but you knew he had your back. Each family member and those he chose to call a friend, had their memorable moments with him and knew without a doubt where they stood with him.

Jonathan had the best sense of humor that included straight up sarcasm. He was quick with his humor and no one was safe from being part of his jokes. But that's what made him unique. From the time he was young, Jonathan had a way of destroying anything he touched. No toy was safe because he had to "tinker" with it and then try to put it back together. He eventually earned the name "Johnny Crash" largely in part to the way he drove his four-wheeler, the idle had to be turned up so he could go fast.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roland Barney Moses, and James and Annie Mae Barrows, uncle, Rodney Ray Moses, aunt, Mary Ann Reece, and cousin, Dakota Bratcher.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kamden Leah Moses and Natorian (Tori) Bree

Steveson, grandmother, BoDene Hill Moses, father and mother, Jonathan Joc Moses and Carolyn

Sue Moses, siblings, Shawn Dixon, Austin and Marisa Moses, and Catherine Moses and Rhet Wike; nieces and nephews, Skye and Coner Reed, Scout Dixon, Saige Dixon, Austin Moses, Ella and Oliver Wike, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
