Johnny Kilgore

Johnny Kilgore, 77, passed from this life on August 8th, 2022, surrounded by his family.  Johnny was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma on November 24th, 1944, to Leroy Kilgore and Maybelle Starr Moore.

Johnny attended Stidham public schools.  He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army.  Johnny married Nancy Densmore in Blaine, Washington on December 29, 1972.  They were happily married for almost 48 years until her passing in 2020.  

Johnny worked as a roofing contractor for many years.  He enjoyed fishing and listening to music.  He was a member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church.

Johnny was preceded in death by his dear wife, Nancy; parents, Maybelle Moore and Leroy Kilgore; three sisters; one brother; and many more loved ones.  He is survived by his son, Donald "Doni" Densmore and wife Candy of El Paso, Texas; daughters, Dana Cheatham and husband Kirk of Tulsa, Krisi Edgemon and husband Wayne of Porum Landing, Stacy Cross and husband G.W. of Coweta, and Johnnie Dodson and husband Terry of Sulphur, Oklahoma; sisters, Betty Jean White of Roseburg, Oregon, Linda Cummings of Stidham, and Rickey Postoak of Weleetka; nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; and many family members and friends who knew and loved him.

The family will welcome friends for open visitation in the home, 114954 S. 4230 Rd., Eufaula, OK from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.  A graveside service will be held at the Triplett Cemetery, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2022, with Gary Hawkins officiating.  Donald Densmore, Tyler Haney, John Brewer, Kirk Cheatham, David Montgomery, and Robert Hass will serve as pallbearers.  Richard Doke will serve as honorary pallbearer.
