Jerry Lee Moore, 72, died February 27, 2020 at his home in Muskogee. He was born November 24, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma the fifth of five children. He grew up in rural Cherokee County, and graduated from Tahlequah High School. He was a fantastic husband and loving father. He believed that charity begins in your own area first, and was always first to give of his time and his money. He will be greatly missed.
Jerry was a Vietnam veteran. After serving his country he went to work with his brothers, Bill and Bob, in the floor covering business. He later became plant manager and salesman for an oil company. When he retired from there, he became self employed. He had his own property management and construction company. When his health got bad he delivered mail in Cherokee County. He raised cattle, poultry and beautiful vegetable gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Opal Moore; brothers, Jackie, Bill, and Bob; and brother-in-law, Harvey Coles.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Cissy Moore of the home; his children Scott W. Moore and wife Nicole and Jody L. Moore and wife Danni; sister, Oletta Coles; sisters-in-law, Lou Moore and Dorothy Moore; grandchildren, Skyler Moore, Katelyn Moore, Tyler Moore, and Brenlee Moore; nieces, Linda Dallis, Brenda Coles, and Debbie Moore; and nephews, Gene Moore and Doug Moore.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
