James Gaxiola Obituary

James Gaxiola, 66, passed away in Eufaula, Oklahoma on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

He was born February 1, 1958 in San Jose, California to Edward and Helen (Borrego) Gaxiola.

James graduated from Checotah High School and went on to continue his education at Connors State College receiving his Associates Degree.

He worked for many years as an appliance repair man.

James married Evelyn Smith on March 14, 1992.  They were happily married for 32 years.

James was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Checotah.  He was a man of strong faith and believed in Jehovah’s promise for mankind to live on a paradise earth as Jehovah had originally intended.

James enjoyed sports, especially football.  He also enjoyed music, playing his guitar and singing karaoke.

He had a good sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.  Still yet, the thing he loved most was telling others about Gods Kingdom and how it would solve all of mankind’s problems.

James is survived by his wife, Evelyn of the home; his brother, Michael Gaxiola of Checotah and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Zachary James Gaxiola.

Honoring James cremation is planned.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 419700 US-266, Checotah, Oklahoma 74426.
