Hilly Mae Harjo

Hilly Mae Harjo beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the age of 92.

Hilly also known as (Hokte) was born on August 28, 1932, in Wewoka, Oklahoma the daughter of David and Silby (Buck) Harrison.

She graduated from Wainwright High School in 1951.

Hilly worked for Mattel in California. She later worked for Motter's Book Binder Company in Muskogee until her retirement.

Hilly loved to be outside doing yard work. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Hilly also loved to sew. Full of laughter and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Hilly's unwavering spirit will always be remembered as a pillar of strength for those who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Harper and husband, Shawnee; grandson, Caleb Harper; granddaughters, Erica Miller and husband, Joe Miller, Victoria Ziegler and Caitlin Harper; great grandsons, Corey Miller, Caden Miller, Cole Miller, Braiden Fabian, and Decel Kanedy as well as a host of nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by husband, Floyd Harjo; her mother, Silby Buck and father, David Harrison; brother, Addison Harrison; sisters, Ramona Davis and Lillie Boen.
