Harry Richard Catron

Harry Richard Catron passed from this life on January 8th, 2022, at the age of 61 years.  Richard was born December 29, 1960 to Paul Catron and Elizabeth (Cooper) Dyer in Barstow, California.

Richard grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma attending Muskogee schools.  He loved to fish and whenever the family couldn't find him at home, they knew he had gone fishing.  He also enjoyed gaming at the casino.  Richard was a car enthusiast and excellent mechanic.  Not only did he spend time at the local racetracks he enjoyed working on the cars.  He was a member of the Cruising Angels Car Club.  In his younger days, Richard worked as a mechanic in the oil fields. As a mechanic, he was always happy to help family and friends with car repairs.  Richard was a member of the Army National Guard from 1979 to 1985.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Paul Catron; stepfather, Woody Dyer.  He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Dyer of Muskogee; son, Tyler Catron of Muskogee; stepson, Dustin Colwell of Muskogee; stepdaughter, Alisha Colwell of Muskogee; and brothers, Matthew Dyer of Bixby and Eddie Dyer of Muskogee.

A memorial service celebrating Richard's life will be held in the near future.  Condolences may be left on the funeral home website: hunnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Checotah, Oklahoma.
