Gregory Kent Poole

Gregory Kent Poole, 52, of Checotah, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025.

He was born February 19, 1973, in Natchez, Mississippi, the son of Dennis Ray Estis, Sr. and Neicey Poole.

Gregory graduated from Jena High School in Jena, Louisiana.  He worked as a motor man in the oilfield taking care of the maintenance and operations of the engines and mechanical systems on a drilling rig, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. 

Gregory was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church in Checotah and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his children, Hanna Keeble of Louisiana, Alan Keeble of Checotah, Ethan Greene of Louisiana, William Pool and wife, Samantha Cosper of Checotah, Christopher Poole of Louisiana and Gracie Poole of Kentucky; grandchildren, Myka Poole, Echo Keeble, Kinsleigh Poole, Lavender Laudero and Stella Poole; siblings, Dennis Estis, Jr. and Kenny Estis and many more family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Taylor Poole.

Honoring Gregory cremation is planned.  No services have been scheduled at this time.  The family will conduct a Celebration of Life at a later date in Louisiana.
