Gayle Marie (Horn) Dill

Gayle Marie Dill, 74, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away on September 21, 2022.  She was born to Earl and Rose Marie (Webster) Horn in Visilia, California. Gayle graduated from Vian High School with the class of 1966.  After high school, Gayle entered the U.S. Army Women's Corps.  She served until 1968. She loved to crochet, cook and take care of her family.  She never met a stranger.  
      Gayle was preceded in death by her parents and son, Tommy Dill.  She is survived by her husband, Buddy A. Dill of the home; daughter, Joyce Herrington and husband Walter Herrington, IV of Eagle River, Alaska; sisters, Janet Watson and husband Stan of Broken Arrow and Ann Moss of Coweta; two grandchildren, Leigha Herrington of Eagle River, Alaska and Randal Herrington and his  wife Sarah of Broken Arrow; and two great-grandchildren, Joseph and Charles.
      Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Hunn Funeral Home in Checotah. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2022, at Twin Oaks Cemetery.  Military honors will be presented at the graveside.
