Gary Raymond Osborn

Gary Raymond Osborn, 74, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Checotah Nursing Center with his family by his side.

He was born July 5, 1951, in Checotah, Oklahoma, the son of Raymond Arthur Osborn and Ruth Ernese (Purdom) Osborn.

Gary graduated from McComb High School in McComb, Mississippi.  

Gary married Barbara Gail Medlock on July 21, 1972, at the Checotah Church of Christ in Checotah, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Osborn of the home; two daughters, Shelly Hobbs and her husband, Jeff of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Crystal Coy and her husband, Shawn of Okemah, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Aidan Hobbs, Eli Hobbs, Logan Hobbs, Tyler Lee, Wyatt Coy and Cambree Sanchez and her husband, Justin; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Natalie and Danielle; two brothers, David Osborn of Morris, Oklahoma and Jeff Osborn and his wife, Cheryl of Arizona.

His parents, Raymond and Ruth Osborn and a grandson, Cody Killingsworth, preceded him in death.

Honoring Gary cremation is planned.  The family will conduct a private celebration of life at a later date.
