FRANCES MAE HARRIS
1924 - 2016

Frances Mae Harris, of Oktaha, Oklahoma, died Friday, September 23rd, 2016 at the home of her son in Skiatook, OK. She was born March 15, 1924 in Muskogee to Otis L. and Nellie E. (Harlow) Banks. Frances was employed at Corning Glass Works as a line attendant for 21 years, until her retirement. Outside of the love for her family, her interests included sewing, cooking (Queen of the coconut cream pie), knitting, crocheting, ceramics, stained glass and was a member of the Golden Girls Dance Club for years. While she excelled at being Wife, Mother and Grandmother, her hobbies and activities became a huge part of who she was. She saw a challenge in each new adventure and accomplished every one with great success.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph R. Harris, one son, Joseph R. Harris, Jr.; one grandchild, Monique Webb; one great- grandchild, her mother and father, five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Grant and Pat Harris of Skiatook, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Webb of Oktaha, OK; grandchildren, Joey and Staci Webb, Mike Webb, Amanda and Mark Janitz, Cara and Tara Lord, Gary and Amber Harris, Bryan and Stephanie Wilton and Brenda and John Miller; 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28th, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael J. Knipe officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Webb, Mike Webb, Gary Harris, Bryan Wilton, Mark Janitz and Jerett Webb. Honorary pallbearers are Rett Harris, Branson Harris, Braeden Webb, Kohen Webb, Baylee Webb, Holden Glietz, Hayden Glietz, Swayze Lord, Tyler Lynch, Cpl. Darren Wilton and Jeffrey Wilton.
