Emmer Mae Buckner

Emmer Mae Buckner, 89, was born on July 25, 1927 in Qualls, Oklahoma. She passed from this earth on July 23, 2017 at Saint Francis Hospital, Muskogee.
Mae was born to Myrtle (Watts) and Charles Bennett. She married Harvey Buckner on February 15, 1946. Harvey preceded Mae in death in 1999. Also preceding Mae in death are her parents; daughters, Christine Reed and Nancy Egger; and son-in-law, Wylie Reed.

Mae was a member of Chandler Road Church of Christ. She was an Avon representative for 35 years and had many customers that she loved dearly.

Mae is survived by her son, Andrew Buckner and wife Connie of Muskogee; son-in-law, Alton Egger; grandchildren, Keith Reed and wife Stephanie of Bixby, Jonathan Buckner of Muskogee, Angela-Leigh Reed Easton of Alabama, Christine Jordan and husband Karry of Tulsa, Emily Buckner Varner and husband Bryan of Spokane, Washington, James Egger, Clint Egger; several great-grandchildren and two very special friends, Tammy O'Connell and Nancy Avery.

Funeral services honoring Mae will be July 28, Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Chandler Road Church of Christ with Don Branscum officiating. Burial will be at noon at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Reed, Jarad Reed, Christopher Reed, Jonathan Buckner, Jim Wheat and Howard Avery. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Treadway, Carl Cole, Ira Boss, John Bebee, Tony Nichols, Carl Frazier and Tim Harris.
